Best Idle Games for Android (Clicker, Multiplayer & More)

Life can get crazy sometimes—whether it’s work, school, or just everything piling up. And one thing that often takes a hit is our gaming time.

And you know what? That’s totally okay. But if gaming is something that helps you unwind or brings you joy, it’s nice to have a game you can jump into, especially if it’s on mobile. You can play it anywhere—stuck in traffic, on the bus, or heck, even in the bathroom.

So, to make your life a little easier, I’ve put together a list of the best idle games that will fit into your busy schedule. You can check in once a day, grab some shiny rewards, play whenever you’ve got a spare minute, and have a blast while doing it. That’s the beauty of idle games—you get rewards just by being AFK!

1. Idle Magic School

best idle games for android; idle magic school

Idle Magic School takes the house cup for sure. The art style and animations are very pleasing on the eyes and with the great music it has, you get a full experience of running a wizarding school.

The point of the game is to create a lucrative magical school and in order to do that, you’ll need a few things. You’ll need to create various classes for the new students, hire good teachers, expand the classroom to fit more students, and much more.

Once you get things going and get familiar with the game then it’s an easy road from there. You can log whenever you feel like, collect money, reinvest it in the school or build new branches of it. It’s totally up to you.

When it comes to the ads in the game, I think the situation is pretty ideal. The ads are there but they are not pushed in your face. It’s more of an optional thing if you want to get more resources but not anything game changing.

All in all, it’s a pretty great game even if you’re not a great fan of a wizarding world.

2. Lumber Inc

If you ever wanted to create your Lumber empire, then this game is just what you need. From chopping the trees down, transporting the logs to the factory to processing the wood and selling it, the game got you covered. You even need to hire people that will plant new trees and take care of them. There are a lot of more features in the game to keep you entertained for a while.

The graphics are nice and animations are also good for what it is.

Ads are obviously present, but they aren’t really pushed in your face constantly. You have an option to watch ads if you want to get a few resources but nothing game changing so it’s tolerable.

3. Gold and Goblins

best idle games for android: gold and goblins

Gold and Goblins is an idle game with a tiny sprinkle of merge factor in it. The point of the game is to dig through various mines in order to get better loot. To do that you’re going to need to buy goblins to farm. Two goblins of the same level can be merged into goblins with the higher level and so on. All of the money you can invest into different digs or just buying more goblins.

For the look and sound of the game, there are no issues. It’s a decent looking game with nice music.

When it comes to the ads, they’re also optional in this game. They’re there but not shoved in your face at all. Which is a great bonus.

4. ExoMiner

best idle games for android: exominer

ExoMiner is a “futuristic” looking idle game where you dig for various materials in order to make a profit. It starts as a simple operation of digging for the coal but as you progress deeper into the game, it expands. Along the way you’ll be investing the money you earn from selling minerals into better drills, faster ships and better locations.

And again the ads are very optional and limited. I know that I’ve said that so many times but I feel like it’s an important factor because there are so many other idle games that I’ve tested that are basically ad simulators aka pure scams.

Music combined with a cozy color scheme makes this perfect chill idle game.

5. Soul Strike

best idle games for android: soul strike

I’ve already done a full review of Soul Strike and if you want to check it out, you can do it here. In case you’re short on time and can’t read it all, I’ll give you the gist of it.

It’s an Idle RPG game where you get to summon various characters, gears, skills, etc. in order to create a nice team that can defeat various enemies and farm for you while you’re away.

The graphics, animation, and sounds of the game are nice. I got really hooked on it and I’ve played it for a while — it’s a ton of fun.

As I’ve mentioned in the article, ads weren’t being pushed in my face but I’ve still spent a good portion of the game watching ads. That’s partially my fault because I was really grinding it and tried to squeeze out as much as possible as a F2P.

If you take the game less seriously than me, I guarantee you won’t have such issues and it will be even more fun.

Other Idle Games You Might Like

Earth Inc

This one almost made the list. It’s a nice looking mining idle game with a lot of potential for the endless gameplay. There are no pushed ads in it.

Tower of God: New World

Also a very nice Idle RPG game that could keep you busy for days to come. Only reason it didn’t end up on the list is because I prefer Soul Strike more.

Idle Farm

Idle Farm is a cozy farming idle game that is decently designed. There was just something missing to make it higher on the board.

AFK Arena

AFK Arena is an OG when it comes to the Idle Games. It still holds its rightful place at the leaderboards. It is nicely designed with good animation and a large pool of characters.

Egg Inc

Another interesting game on the list. You have to raise an army of chickens for your farm. It’s a great game but I feel like it’s not a complete Idle game. I found myself holding a button to raise chicken too many times.

Types of Idle Games for Android (With Recommendations!)

Idle games are perfect for casual gamers who enjoy making progress without constant effort. These games allow you to earn rewards and grow your resources even when you’re not actively playing.

Here are some popular types of idle games you can try on Android:

  • Resource Management Games. The point is to manage resources and build empires with automated systems. If that sounds fun, I recommend AdVenture Capitalist, and Idle Miner Tycoon.
  • Adventure and RPG Idle Games. These allow you to embark on quests, defeat enemies, and level up heroes with minimal effort.  Some examples include Idle Heroes and AFK Arena.
  • Idle Clickers. Tap to earn rewards faster, but let the game progress even when you’re offline. I’d recommend Cookie Clicker and Egg, Inc.
  • Tower Defense Idle Games. Strategically place defenses and let them automatically fend off waves of enemies. This could be fun for fans of League of Legends, and I’d suggest trying Idle Defense: Dark Forest and Grow Castle.
  • Simulation and Business Idle Games. If you like to build and manage businesses, cities, or farms while profits grow on their own, I recommend Idle Factory Tycoon and Bit City.
  • Idle Combat Games. Watch as automated battles unfold, focusing on strategy and upgrades.  Some examples include Idle War: Legendary Heroes and Auto Battle Chess.
  • Idle Creature Collectors. If you like collecting creatures, then you should try Tap Tap Monsters and Idle Pet Shop Tycoon.
