Game Releases in July 2024
With July being the best month of the year, it’s expected to have some of the best games released then. Is that the case this year to, that is up to you to decide. Here is full list of everything that awaits you next month:
July 2
Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail
Platform: Win, Mac, PS4, PS5, XSX
Genre: MMORPG
Description: This is the fifth expansion for the widely popular MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV. Dawntrail is set to begin a new story, taking players to the new continent of Tural, more commonly known as the New World. Two new jobs will be added including Viper, a melee DPS that wields two swords in combat, and Pictomancer, a magical ranged DPS that fights using a brush and easel. The level cap will also reach 100.
July 4
Zenless Zone Zero
Platform: Win, PS5, iOS, Droid
Genre: Action role-playing, hack-and-slash
Description: This is a new F2P game by the HoYoverse. In the parallel universe called Hollow, you get to play a character Proxy. You’ll be able to recruit other members to your party and fight against the Ethereal and other various enemies.
July 5
Bleak Faith: Forsaken
Platform: PS4, PS5, XBO, XSX
Genre: Action role-playing
Description: This souls-like game was released for PC last March. Now it’s being released on consoles. This is a third-person open-world survival horror action RPG where you play as one of the Forsaken, the last defense of humanity against the growing horrors of the Omnistructure. The game received mostly positive reviews on Steam.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak
Platform: Win, NS, PS4, PS5
Genre: Role-playing
Description: The game follows Van Arkride, a young man working as a bounty-hunting detective. The story follows a chapter format. In each chapter, the player spends a day in Edith, free to interact with characters and do side missions.
July 11
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Deluxe Edition
Platform: NS
Genre: Air combat simulation
Description: This combat flight simulation game was initially released in 2019 and now it’s being released for NS. Ace Combat 7 received generally positive reviews and became the highest-selling entry in the series, with over five million units sold across all platforms by 2023.
Hookah Haze
Platform: Win, NS
Genre: Visual novel
Description: In this visual novel you get to be a manager of the new hookah lounge called “Hookah Haze”.
Princess Maker 2 Regeneration
Platform: Win, NS
Genre: Social simulation
Description: This is a simulation game in which the player experiences being the father to a daughter granted to them by the stars. You’ll have to raise her for 8 years. And decisions you make can influence her future.
July 15
Darkest Dungeon II
Platform: PS4, PS5
Genre: Dungeon crawler, roguelike
Description: This roguelike game features multiple characters, and each of them has its unique strengths and abilities. The ultimate goal is to reach a mountain, which is the source of evil that has overtaken the world. The game was released for Windows in 2023 and now it’s being released for PlayStation.
July 16
Cataclismo
Platform: Win
Genre: Real-time strategy
Description: Cataclismo is a real-time strategy game with elements inspired by tower defense games. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world in which a magical cataclysm created poisonous mist.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Sweep the Board
Platform: Win, PS4, PS5, XBO, XSX
Genre: Digital tabletop
Description: The game features online and offline multiplayer support for up to four players. There are twelve playable characters to pick from. And from what I’ve seen there will be a couple of mini-games too. It’s best described as a Mario Party – Demon Slayer edition.
EvilVEvil
Platform: Win, PS5, XSX
Genre: First-person shooter
Description: EvilVEvil is a fast-paced vampire shooter. It will be online CO-OP and you’ll have to shoot your way through hoards of enemies in order to defeat the cult leader Zagreus.
Flock
Platform: Win, PS4, PS5, XBO, XSX
Genre: Adventure
Description: Flock is a multiplayer co-op game where players take on the role of flying shepherds, each tending to their unique herd of adorable flying creatures.
Hot Lap Racing
Platform: Win, NS
Genre: Racing
Description: This is a racing game in which you’ll be able to race against your friend or the other players online.
Magical Delicacy
Platform: Win, NS, XBO, XSX
Genre: Platform, cooking
Description: It’s a cute art pixel platformer in which you’ll have to cook various magical delicacies and deliver them to the townsfolk.
July 18
Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus
Platform: Win, NS, PS5, XSX
Genre: Platform, action-adventure
Description: My interest is peaked with this 2.5D action platformer. It reminds me of a couple of the games I played, with Hollow Knight being the most recent one and I’m all for it. We get to play as a celestial blossom named Bō. I definitely intend to play this game thoroughly and have fun as much as possible.
Dungeons of Hinterberg
Platform: Win, XSX
Genre: Action role-playing, social simulation
Description: You get to explore the alpine village of Hinterberg and fight the monsters on your journey. Solve all kinds of puzzles, learn all sorts of tricks, and much more.
Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition
Platform: NS
Genre: Action, party, platformer, racing
Description: The game heavily focuses on speedrunning various challenges in NES-era Nintendo video games. There will be over 150 challenges across 13 NES games. May the best gamer win.

Description: You can either choose to be a coach and build your dream team made out of college players or live a life as a college player and make a name for yourself.

F1 Manager 2024

Genre: Racing management simulation
Description: In the latest installment of F1 Manager, your goal is to lead your team to victory and to the Hall of Fame of Formula One.
July 25
Earth Defense Force 6
Platform: Win, PS4, PS5
Genre: Third-person shooter
Description: In this new shooter you’ll have to fight against alien colonists in order to save what little of humanity is still left. The game features 2 player split-screen offline CO-OP or up to 4 players in the online CO-OP.
Frostpunk 2
Platform: Win
Genre: City-building, survival
Description: Like the previous part, Frostpunk 2 is a city-building survival game. Set in New London 30 years after the “Great Storm” of the original game, the game explores the consequences of the advent of the petroleum industry and players get to play as the city’s new leader, called “the Steward”, replacing the “Captain”, who was the player character of the original game.

Tokyo Xanadu eX+

Description: This is an action role-playing game with party-based real-time combat that features dungeon exploration. The game was released for the PlayStation Vita in Japan on September 30, 2015. Now it’s being released for NS globally.
Undying

Genre: Survival
Description: You get to play as a woman called Anling who was bitten by a zombie. With the little time she has left, her goal is to prepare her 8-year-old son Cody to survive on his own. This game was released for the PC in 2023 and now it’s being released for NS.

One Piece Odyssey: Deluxe Edition

Description: The game based on the popular manga and anime One Piece was released in 2023 is now being released on NS. You get to play as one of the members of the Straw Hats Pirates while exploring the world of One Piece.
